The -48VDC input Powerboard is manufactured by GNP Computers, and is used in many WorkServers manufactured by GNP. The system shown in these pictures is a Lucent device, P/N 407907948, called the WDP Cluster KS-24420 List 11 Packet Server UDP. It consists of the powerboard, Sun MicroSystems UltraSPARC-II-269MHz CPU,and a Sun MicroSystems motherboard. It plugs into a backplane chassis tool. This particular system is used by AT&T, procured by Lucent, manufactured by GNP Computers, ported by ESI software. The powerboard is also used in the DEI-10 TELCO Workserver.
The major components on the powerboard include:

  • AL60A DC-DC Converter Module; +12V output
  • AM80A DC-DC Converter Module; 3.3V and 5V outputs
  • AS7291 UPA power and return
  • AA05A-024L-120S; -12V output
  • FLTR100V10 Lucent Filter Module

Powerboard Repair Service
                         

The Power Board Repair Services include:

  • Complete Repair and Testing
  • Full Test Capability using Production Hardware
  • Complete technical and customer support
  • Full service in-house engineering department to ensure all your needs are met
  • A Parts Department that is able to quickly procure obsolete components
  • Existing stock of the components that fail most often so that repairs are done quickly
  • Repairs carry a 90-day warranty

 
Test and Integration Lab
                         

As a support to Engineering, Integration and Test (I&T) validates the repair by testing the repaired power board in the GNP Production Hardware. This hardware includes:

  • Sun MicroSystems UltraSPARC-II-269MHz CPU
  • Sun MicroSystems motherboard
  • GNP-manufactured power board, Lucent P/N KS-24420 (GNP P/N 1-501657)
  • The CPU, motherboard, and power board plug into the GNP-manufactured carrier: the Lucent WDP Cluster UDP Packet Server; Lucent P/N 407907948 (GNP P/N 1-500491-1)
  • GNP-manufactured Chassis; GNP P/N 1-501772

 
Technical Assistance
                         

WDS staffs and maintains a Technical Assistance Center (TAC) for its Customers. The TAC is staffed M-F, from 8:00AM to 5:00PM PST, and can be reached. For all other times, calling the same number will provide information to put you in contact with the on-duty Engineer.

 
RMA Process
                         

The Return Material Authorization (RMA) process utilizes a customized data tracking system to handle personalized repair data.
